WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: Giles was born into an upper middle class family in England, more comfortable than wealthy. He attended a private boarding school, though as this was an inherited privilege (as the youngest member of a family of Watchers for many generations), and then Oxford University, but rebelled against the structure and status of the institution as he got older. As an adult, he's had to hold down a regular job as part of his cover as a Watcher and to pay the bills, so he doesn't appear to be interested in leaning on his family or the Watcher Council for money. Like most middle-aged ex-punks, his old habits have not quite disappeared, and he's more interested in his own passions and interests (being a magic nerd) than in accumulating wealth, and will happily spend any money he earns on books and occult objects.
WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: Canonically, Giles studied History at Oxford before he dropped out in order to be a punkass warlock. He's also extensively studied magic, demonology and the history of the occult as part of his Watcher training.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?: Getting turned into a Fyarl demon is probably up there in terms of things Giles would have never thought he'd experience but also would like to never experience again, thanks.
